Seven Wonders of the World

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present “Seven Wonders of the World”. Although there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes:

1. Egypt’s Great Pyramid

2. Taj Mahal

3. Grand Canyon

4. Panama canal

5. Empire State Building

6. St. Peter’s Basilica

7. China’s Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, “Yes, a little. I could not quite make up my mind because there were so many.” The teacher said, “Well tell us what you have, and may be we can help.” The girl hesitated, then read, “I think the Seven Wonders of the World is:

1. To see

2. To hear

3. To touch

4. To taste

5. To feel

6. To laugh

7. And To love

The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous!

I reside in Udupi a beautiful district in Karnataka. The best of Udupi is, the educational Institutions, temples, beaches n of course lovely people.Udupi is also famous for food especially sea food. You find Udupi restuarents all over the world. One has to visit Udupi at least once in a lifetime.......

1. If all the nations in the world are in debt (I am not joking. even US has got debts), where did all the money go? (Weird)

2. When dog food is new and improved tasting, who tests it? (To be given a thought)

3. If the "black box" flight recorder is never damaged during a plane crash, why isn't the whole airplane made out of that stuff? (Very good thinking)

4. Who copyrighted the copyright symbol? (Who Knows?)

5. Why do people say, "You’ve been working like a dog" when dogs just sit around all day? (I think they meant something else)

6. Why are the numbers on a calculator and a phone reversed? (God knows)

7. Do fish ever get thirsty? (Let me ask and tell)

8. What does OK actually mean? (OK, I don't know)

9. Why do birds not fall out of trees when they sleep? (Tonight I will stay and watch)

10. If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, then what is baby oil made from? (No comments)

11. What should one call a male ladybird? (No comments)

12. Why is it called a "building" when it is already built? (Strange isn't it)

13. Why is it called a TV set when there's only one? (Very nice)

14. Why do most cars have speedometers that go up to at least 130 when you legally can't go that fast on any road? (Stupid, break the law)
